Herd Breeding Program

We are a family farm/ranch striving to maintain a small herd of high quality registered Shorthorn and Shorthorn Plus cattle. The goal of our breeding program is to raise competitive club calves and show heifers for 4-H and open junior shows.

This year's calf crop was sired by the Shorthorn bull, Ar Su Lu Tonic. We breed for traits of natural thickness & muscle, easy fleshing, structural soundness, balance, style, mothering ability, udder structure and temperment.

Farm & Ranch Links

Farm & Ranch Links
This local ranch raises registered Shorthorn and Angus cattle, and has been a great resource located just miles from us. We showed with 4R Ranch at the 2010 Oregon State Fair, and our kids attend the same school in Wilsonville. We purchased Jess's Angus steer from their annual fall Victory Sale.

This local ranch is also located close, just across the ferry and on the other side of Canby. WB is breeder of the both the champion steer and supreme female at the 2011 Clackamas Co. Fair. Jess purchased her Maine-Angus steer here this year, a half sibling of the champion.

Hillside Ranch

This registered Shorthorn ranch is located in Corvallis and was once owned in cooperation with OSU. The owner, Nancy Ferguson, helped us get our start with Shorthorns as breeder of our first cow, a Jan. 2009 Proud Jazz daughter.
